Hello and welcome.

Whether you’re living with a movement disorder, want to live with more self-connection and awareness or develop a regular practice for physical and mental wellbeing, you’ve come to the right place.

After 20 years practising classical yoga and working as a health and wellness journalist for national press, I created Yanar Mind & Movement to help people move well and feel better, at any stage of life.

My approach blends gentle, somatic yoga with a focus on breath, body awareness and mindful movement. Whether on the chair or mat my sessions are designed to release tension, support nervous system regulation and promote physical and mental wellbeing.

I work with Parkinson’s UK, delivering in-person chair yoga classes in east London for people with Parkinson’s and other movement disorders. I also offer online chair yoga classes to make movement accessible to more people.

I’m a 580-hour accredited yoga therapist (The Minded Institute), a 200-hour certified yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance), and a level 3 personal trainer (Focus Awards). I am also committed to ongoing professional development, regularly deepening my knowledge and experience through additional courses and training.

Join me for a weekly in-person group class in Wanstead, London for people with Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders in partnership with Parkinson’s UK.
