Movement is for everyone

My mother's Parkinson's Disease diagnosis over 15 years ago motivated me to study for a diploma in yoga therapy to bring mindful movement to more people who need it. Making movement accessible – whether that’s physically, financially or geographically – is core to my ethos. I want as many people as possible to experience the benefits of somatic movement.

The yoga I teach is based on traditional principles of classical, integral yoga, which I discovered in my mid-20s. This holistic and balanced system develops all aspects of the self – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual – and is naturally gentle and inclusive.

Over the years it has proved invaluable during challenging times, serving as a gentle antidote to my fast-paced life and vigorous fitness training regimes. It’s had a profound healing effect on my nervous system and I know it has the potential to support others.
